Vehicle consumption: approx. 25 ml for the glass surfaces of a Golf-sized car.
One accessory kit is added per bottle.
For automotive glass and beyond. Glass-Coat is suitable for windscreens, side windows and rear windows, as well as other glass surfaces such as shower screens, windows and conservatories.
The glass must be intact, clean and properly prepared. For surfaces with existing coatings or special treatments, follow the manufacturer's instructions and check compatibility first. Acrylic, polycarbonate and plastic windows are not glass.
Work at 10–25 °C on cool, dry glass. Clean and degrease the surface thoroughly. If necessary, remove bonded contamination first with Glass Corrector and Glass Pad; then remove all residue and degrease.
Apply Glass-Coat evenly with a suitable applicator, wait 2 minutes and buff off without pressure using a clean microfibre cloth lightly dampened with water. Check the entire surface for residue under good lighting.
Once all residue has been removed, the surface can be exposed to rain. Winter application is also possible if a dry, sufficiently warm and well-ventilated workspace meets these conditions. Avoid direct sunlight and hot surfaces.
View application steps →How long does Glass-Coat last?
Up to 6 months on automotive glass. Wipers and heavy wear can shorten durability, particularly on the windscreen. On side windows and other glass surfaces subject to less wear, the coating can last considerably longer. Preparation, use and maintenance affect durability.
Is glass polishing necessary?
Only if the condition of the glass calls for it, for example to remove bonded deposits. Thoroughly clean and degrease glass that is already free of residue.
When can the surface be exposed to rain?
Once all residue has been removed. Before driving, check for residue, clear visibility and working wipers.
How do I maintain coated glass?
Use a suitable glass cleaner and keep the wiper blades clean. Abrasive glass polishes can remove the coating.
Does the coating replace windscreen wipers?
No. Continue to use the wipers and washer system as conditions require. If streaking or judder occurs, check the glass for residue and clean the wiper blades or inspect them for wear.

Glass-Coat · Professional glass protection
As an automotive glass coating, Glass-Coat provides strong water beading and makes regular glass cleaning easier. The hydrophobic surface causes water to form droplets; runoff depends on the condition and angle of the glass and how it is used.
The same principle applies to other glass surfaces, such as shower screens, windows and conservatories. For detailers and enthusiasts, Glass-Coat combines a straightforward application process with a visible result.
Preparation makes the difference
A carefully prepared surface is the basis for consistent water beading and good durability. Choose the preparation method according to the actual condition of the glass.
Remove loose dirt. Thoroughly clean the glass with a suitable cleaner and degrease completely, for example with Ultra Degreaser. Remove all residue.
For water spots, weathering or firmly bonded deposits, prepare the glass first with Glass Corrector and Glass Pad. Then clean and degrease thoroughly.
